Hall & Oates. Fawkner & Turrill. Daft & Punk. Over the years, the musical power of the “Duo” has been cemented by musical forebears as audiences’ attention spans are coaxed ever closer through the cunning use of not one but two names, thereby in theory doubling the amount of interesting things happening on stage.
Come be a witness to rural and coastal Victoria’s power couple, Grim & Alister, as they perform songs from their extensive back catalogue and occasional gems from their front catalogue. With a few songs that, like a surprise middle aisle Aldi item, seem to not even be on a catalogue yet in the heat of the moment are completely necessary to your shopping run. Or something.
You can expect murder ballads, despairing love songs, juxtaposed alongside upbeat country-folk bangers, not to mention harmonies that will make your heart go “ugh, my heart”, that’s right, your heart will grow another tiny heart inside of it through the medical brilliance of song just to feel the swell of emotion [tbc].
