Shedshaker Brewing began with a simple mission: to make great beer in Castlemaine. What started as a small independent operation has evolved into a much-loved part of the local scene.
We’ve grown steadily over the years, expanding our range, refining our craft, and embracing new ideas — all while staying true to our roots as a fiercely local, proudly independent brewery.

Doug and Jacqueline, co-owners of Shedshaker Brewing and The Taproom, are the driving force behind the brewery’s community spirit. For them, it’s never been just about the beer — it’s about contributing to the cultural life of Castlemaine.
From supporting local artists and events to collaborating with fellow makers at The Mill, they’ve built a business rooted in connection, creativity, and genuine care for their town.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
Our new venue — just a few doors down from the original shed — is a bigger, better space to enjoy what we do best. It’s still the same friendly taproom, with sixteen beers on tap, all brewed in-house, plus live music, an Italian-inspired kitchen, and a welcoming, lively atmosphere.
We’re still in The Mill, and still doing things the Shedshaker way — just with more room to share.
